INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The 2026 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament Bracket was unveiled this evening, revealing two Mid-American Conference men's basketball squads in this year's tournament field for the first time since the 1998-99 season.
The Akron Zips earned the conferences automatic bid in winning their third consecutive MAC Tournament crown on Saturday night. The No. 12 Zips will take on No. 5 Texas Tech on Friday, March 20 from Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, Florida.
Regular-season champion Miami earned the conference's first at-large bid in over 20 years after finishing the regular season undefeated at 31-0. The No. 11 RedHawks will take on No. 11 Southern Methodist in a First Four matchup from UD Arena in Dayton, Ohio on Wednesday, March 18.
