Tyler Klinsky, 133 lbs., Rider
Tyler Klinsky capped off the regular season in dominant fashion, finishing a perfect 18-0 in dual matches at 125 pounds. Ranked No. 15 nationally, Klinsky secured an 18-2 technical fall in the second period over Brady Pruett in Rider's regular season finale at UPenn to complete his unbeaten dual slate. Klinsky closes the regular season with a team-best 22-3 overall record and has extended his current winning streak to 15 matches, with his last loss coming in December. His 18-0 dual meet record is the program’s first undefeated dual season since Ethan Laird went 12-0 in 2022-23.
He is also 6-2 against nationally ranked opponents this season, further highlighting his dominant year.
West Division Wrestler of the Week
Andrew Austin, 133 lbs., Central Michigan
Central Michigan’s Andrew Austin posted two wins over Big Ten opponents, helping the Chippewas to a split of dual meets on the final weekend of the regular season. Austin, who is unranked, opened the weekend with a 9-4 win over Michigan State’s Caleb Weiand, who entered the dual ranked 32nd nationally by FloWrestling. Austin closed the weekend with a 7-5 victory over Michigan’s Gauge Botero, scoring a third-period takedown and earning a riding-time point to overcome a 5-3 deficit. Austin’s victory at Michigan State helped the Chippewas to a 19-15 victory, and his win against Michigan was one of two that CMU registered against the 13th-ranked Wolverines.
