CLEVELAND - The MAC-SBC Challenge — a scheduling alliance in men’s and women’s basketball — has announced its February pairings. The second MAC-SBC Challenge contests will take place Saturday, Feb. 7, and Sunday, Feb. 8, with matchups based on real-time NET rankings. The MAC women's programs will host the February matchups.
UMass (10-2, 2-0 MAC) will host James Madison on CBS Sports Network on Sunday, Feb. 8, at 12 p.m. ET. All other matchups are scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 7, on ESPN+, with tip times to be announced.
Each MAC and Sun Belt team participating in the MAC-SBC Challenge — created in the 2023-24 season and continuing through 2026-27 — is guaranteed one home game and one away game each season.
Scheduling assistance is provided by Ordinal Sports Group. In addition to relevant NET data, geography and the frequency of past contests are considered when determining matchups.
