Trista Fintel closed the regular season with wins in both the hammer throw and shot put. Her hammer throw of 63.48m ranks among the best in program history behind only NCAA Championship qualifiers Brooke Pleger and Kaila Butler. She also nearly PR’d in the shot put, taking first there as well.

Joy Nwokike ran a blazing MAC-leading 10.39 to win the women’s 100m dash at the Northeast Ohio Open, now ranking 69th in the country.

Note: Gabrielle Griffiths won the hammer throw at the Northeast Ohio Open with a personal-best 193-5 (58.97m), ranking third in the MAC and fifth all-time in Akron history. She also won the javelin at the meet with a throw of 145-6 (44.35m).

Note: Erica King improved her PR by a full meter and moved to sixth on EMU’s all-time list. Her performance at the Len Paddock Open marked her fourth personal best in five meets.

Note: Ella Scally won the women’s long jump with a new PR of 6.29 meters. She moved up in the Miami record books, improving her previous PR by two centimeters.
