Blackwell earned a pair of honors from the MAC as she collected her second major award (2023 MAC Freshman of the Year) while earning her third All-MAC accolade after being named to the second team in 2023 and the first team last year. The top scorer in the MAC and No. 15 nationally with 3.69 goals per game, Blackwell has tallied at least three goals in 13-of-16 games played in 2025 to bring her total to 59, making her the first Eagle to score 50+ goals in a single season. The first MAC Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week recipient in program history (April 9), Blackwell was a three-time MAC Offensive Player of the Week as she broke five school records while becoming the first EMU player to hit major career milestones, including 100+ goals and 100+ points, while adding single-season milestones, including 50+ goals, 60+ points, 100+ shots. She simultaneously dominated draw controls as the first Chippewa in program history to record triple-digits in the category, leading the MAC.
The Cincinnati-native is one of only two players in NCAA I to rank in the top 40 in both draw controls and caused turnovers on a per-game basis this season, and one of only three defenders to rank in the top 150 in both. Her productive senior season skyrocketed her career totals to finish second in the CMU record book in both areas.
The senior collected four double-digit games in draw controls in 2025, setting the program record with 16 at Robert Morris, logging the Colonial's largest negative margin in a game ever in MAC play. Prior to this season, CMU had only had six double-digit performances with no player repeating the feat more than once."
Porter the 2024 MAC Freshman of the Year, earned All-MAC First Team honors for the first time in her career after being named to the second team in her rookie season, making her one of four Eagles to earn first-team honors in the program’s three-year history. One of the top keepers nationally, Porter finished the regular season with a school-record 170 saves, and improvement of 38 from last year, whiles stopping 49.4 percent of the shots she faced and allowing 11.06 goals per game, statistics that ranked her third, second, and fourth, respectively, in the MAC and 10th, sixth, and 33rd nationally. Outside of the crease, she continued to be a vacuum as she collected 70 ground balls to lead the NCAA for the second year in a row while also collecting 12 caused turnovers. Porter, who opened the year with 18 saves against San Diego State University to post the 13th-highest total in the nation this year, became the first Eagle to record 100+ ground balls and 300+ saves in a career.
Berthoff has been not only one of the top freshmen in the conference but also one of its standout players overall, ranking among the league leaders in several key offensive categories.Over 17 games, she ranked eighth in the conference with an average of 2.06 goals per game. Her performance in conference play was especially impressive—through six league games, she ranked second in points, fourth in goals, and sixth in assists. Berthoff also tied a single-game program record with six assists against Youngstown State.
Jones was recognized as the league’s Coach of the Year as she led the Zips to their first ever MAC Regular Season title after the squad was picked to finish last in the preseason coaches’ poll.
