Event: 3,000m Steeplechase – 4th

Meet: Bryan Clay Invitational
Time: 8:27.51
Rank: 1st MAC / 6th NCAA
Akron freshman Bismack Kipchirchir ran a school-record time of 8:27.51 to place fourth in the men’s 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Bryan Clay Invitational. His time is just off the MAC record of 8:24.62 set in 2004 and ranks as the No. 6 effort in the NCAA this season.

Hunter Garretson – Akron – Senior (R)
Event: Pole Vault – 2nd

Meet: Beach Invitational
Mark: 18-0 (5.49m)
Rank: 1st MAC / 11th NCAA
Hunter Garretson cleared 18-0 (5.49m) to place second at the Beach Invitational. His mark is a season-best and ranks No. 1 in the MAC and No. 11 in the NCAA this spring.

Rank: 2nd MAC / Tied 79th NCAA East Region
Note: Aiden Norris ran a stellar 1:49.50 to win the UB Alumni Invitational, winning by 4.5 seconds. His previous PR of 1:53.22 was set two weeks earlier. Norris is the top-ranked freshman in the MAC in the 800m and has shown tremendous improvement throughout his first collegiate season.
 
Gabe Singh – Eastern Michigan – Senior
Event: 4x400m Relay – 1st of 30
Meet: Georgia Tech Invitational
Time: 3:07.35
Rank: 1st MAC
Note: Gabe Singh anchored Eastern Michigan’s 4x400m team to a first-place finish in a MAC-best 3:07.35 at the Georgia Tech Invitational. The time ranks 3rd in the Great Lakes Region, 36th in the East, and 6th in EMU history. Singh’s 45.89 anchor split would stand as the fastest in the MAC, 3rd in the region, 8th in the East, 26th nationally, and 5th in EMU program history.
 
Mhalicki Bronson – Miami University – Graduate Student
Event: 5000m – 23rd
Meet: Wake Forest Invitational
Time: 14:02.57
Rank: 1st MAC / 212th NCAA
Note: Mhalicki Bronson finished 23rd in the men’s 5000-meter run at the Wake Forest Invitational with a new personal-best time of 14:02.57. He trimmed just under a second off his previous PR and now ranks 10th all-time in RedHawk program history.

Note: Brendan Hill jumped a MAC-best 2.09m (6-10.25) at the Georgia Tech Invitational, placing third out of 28 competitors. The mark is a personal outdoor best and ranks him 4th in the Great Lakes Region and 33rd on the NCAA East Qualifying List.
