The following individuals have been honored for their exceptional achievements in competition and coaching.

Under Trotter’s guidance, Bianca Staples and Sabrina Imes secured a 1-2 finish in the triple jump, a pivotal moment in the team’s championship campaign. Additionally, he coached three individual scorers in sprints/hurdles and two in the pentathlon.

Men’s Co-Assistant Coaches of the Year – Randy Overby, Akron & Michael Schober, Kent State
Akron’s Randy Overby played a pivotal role in the team’s sprints and hurdles success at the MAC Championships, where the Zips accumulated 54 points en route to their ninth overall indoor league title and first since 2020. Overby’s coaching helped produce multiple All-MAC performances, including First-Team honoree Jimmy Harkelroad in the 400m and 4x400 relay. The Zips also claimed top marks in the MAC this season in the 400m and 4x400 relay, showcasing Overby’s impact on the program.
