Akron freshman Bismack Kipchirchir registered a school-record and league-leading time of 7:57.23 in the men's 3,000 meters at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Friday (Feb. 14). It marked the top indoor time in the MAC in two seasons.

Eastern Michigan junior miler Kian Wiles bettered his MAC-best mile time, placing first out of 26 competitors in 4:01.84 at the GVSU Big Meet – Friday, hosted by Grand Valley State, Feb. 14. Wiles’ time stands roughly four seconds faster than the second-best time (4:05.32) in the conference. Furthermore, the run marked his second consecutive personal record in the event and his 4:01.84 time falls just .59 seconds away from the 10th-fastest time in Eastern program history.
