MAC Gymnast of the Week

Central Michigan’s Luciana Alvarado-Reid earned two All-Around titles last week, scoring 39.225 on Thursday and 39.275 on Sunday. The junior, who now has four All-Around titles this season, scored a season-high 9.900 on the uneven bars for an event win and a 9.850 floor exercise score on Thursday in CMU’s tri-meet victory over UW-Oshkosh and SEMO. Alvarado-Reid is ranked second in the MAC in the All-Around and 60th nationally with an average of 39.000.

MAC Specialist of the Week
Cassie St. Clair, Senior, Western Michigan

Cassie St. Clair had a season-best floor performance to take first place in the event and help the Broncos pick up their first MAC win, beating Eastern Michigan on Sunday. St. Clair earned a 9.925 with her performance, tying her for the high in the MAC so far this season. The performance also upped her season average to 9.846, fourth-best in the conference.
