MAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

Eastern Michigan senior Sisi Eleko led the Eagles during a 1–1 week, highlighted by a 74–72 win over Duquesne on Dec. 9 and a 74–67 road loss at power-conference opponent Indiana on Dec. 14. Eleko averaged 19.0 points and a conference-best 14.5 rebounds per game, while adding 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals per contest.
 
Eleko opened the week with 23 points and 11 rebounds against Duquesne, scoring the game-winning layup to secure the victory. She followed with 15 points and a game-high 18 rebounds — the most in the MAC and sixth-most nationally this season — at Indiana. For the week, Eleko shot 45.7% from the floor and recorded two double-doubles, becoming the only MAC player to do so. She leads the conference and ranks second nationally with seven double-doubles this season.
