MAC Announces Week 10 Football Players of the Week

MAC Football Offensive Player of the Week
Broc Lowry, Western Michigan, Quarterback          
RS Sophomore, Canfield, Ohio (Canfield)    
Broc Lowry engineered a fourth quarter comeback to down Central Michigan 24-21. WMU faced a fourth and five at the CMU seven yard line and Lowry fired a pass to Tailique Williams in the corner of the endzone to give the Broncos its first and only lead of the game with just over two minutes to play.

Lowry ended up with 150 yards passing and one touchdown, while also running for 82 yards and a touchdown. With Lowry leading the offense, the Broncos scored the final 10 points of the game. His rushing touchdown tied the game up at 14-14 midway through the third quarter.  It was his eighth touchdown of the season, the first Bronco QB to reach eight since 1977.

 

 
MAC Football Defensive Player of the Week
Red Murdock, Buffalo, Linebacker 
Graduate, Petersburg, VA (Hopewell)         
Red Murdock had a game-high 13 tackles and added 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack in Buffalo's win over Bowling Green. He also had a forced fumble that the Bulls recovered, leading to a touchdown in the final seconds of the first half. It was Murdock's 17th career forced fumble giving him the all-time NCAA record for career forced fumbles.
 


MAC Football Special Teams Player of the Week
Palmer Domschke, Western Michigan, Kicker         
RS Junior , Bolingbrook, Ill. (Neuqua Valley)

Domschke was perfect on extra points and nailed a clutch 46-yard field goal in the fourth quarter in WMU's come-from-behind win over Central Michigan. Domschke was called into action with with just over nine minutes left and hit the field goal from 46 yards, cutting CMU's lead to 21-17. It was the seventh field goal of 40+ yards that Domschke has made on the season.
 


Victor Snow, Buffalo, Wide Receiver
R-Jr., Webster, NY (Webster-Schroeder)     

Victor Snow returned a punt 65 yards for a touchdown to help Buffalo defeat Bowling Green, 28-3. With the Bulls leading 21-0, Snow's touchdown early in the third quarter, put the game away for the Bulls. It was the first punt return for a touchdown by a UB player in 10 years.
