MAC Announces Wrestler of the Week 2 Honorees

Co-East Division Wrestler of the Week
Tyler Klinsky, 125 lbs., Rider
At 125 lbs, No. 26/24 Tyler Klinsky earned a signature victory in Rider’s dual against No. 12 Illinois, taking down No. 13/15 Spencer Moore in a top-25 showdown. After a scoreless first period filled with scrambles, Klinsky battled back from an early 1-0 deficit in the second with a takedown to take a 3-1 lead. He continued to control the pace in the third, adding a reversal and a locked-hands point to seal a 6-3 decision over the top-15 opponent — tying the team score at 3-3 and giving the Broncs early momentum against the nationally ranked Illini.

Evan Maag, 165 lbs., George Mason
Evan Maag won both his matches with bonus points at the Mason Duals held on Saturday. The redshirt junior (165) scored a big takedown late in the second period and another late in the third on the way to an upset 10-2 major decision over 10th-ranked Thomas Snipes from The Citadel. Maag defeated Campbell's Kendrick Hodge with a Fall at 1:58. The Patriots won both matches that Maag started, Campbell 34-13 and The Citadel 26-16. The Patriots defeated Williams College, 31-23.
