Melody Jebiwot led the Toledo women's cross country team to a ninth overall finish at the highly competitive Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Invitational in Chicago on Friday, Oct. 3. Jebiwot led the squad as she placed 18th overall in the women's 6k championship race. The sophomore crossed the finish line at 20:10.9, setting a new career best time in the 6k event. The Rockets competed against nine teams ranked or earning votes in the USTFCCCA National Coaches' Poll at the Loyola Lakefront Invitational. The team took ninth, placing ahead of No. 7 Providence and No. 21 Wisconsin as well as Cal Poly, Indiana and Loyola Chicago.
