NEW YORK -- A pair of Mid-American Conference tight ends -- Harold Fannin Jr. (Bowling Green) and Anthony Torres (Toledo) -- were named to the 2024 John Mackey Award Watch List, as announced today. The award is presented annually to the nation's most outstanding collegiate tight end. 

Torres earned Second-Team All-MAC honors in 2023 after catching 26 passes for 464 yards and three touchdowns. He caught a touchdown pass and a two-point conversion vs. Miami in MAC Championship Game. Torres, who is in the MBA program at Toledo, earned Academic All-MAC honors last year.

Semifinalists for the John Mackey Award will be announced on Oct. 29 with the finalists list of three tight ends coming out on Nov. 26. The winner be announced on The Home Depot College Football Awards on Dec 12.
