Jenna Irwin tallied a game-high six points off of four goals and two assists in the win against Eastern Michigan. Irwin added three draw controls against the Eagles as she also scored the game-winner with less then three minutes left in the game against Eastern Michigan.
Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Zayda Crumpton, Kent State, Midfielder
Sophomore, Hershey, Pa. (Red Land)
Zayda Crumpton was a strong force on offense for the Flashes in the victory over Central Michigan on Saturday. In the final regular season game, Crumpton secured seven possessions off the draw. Crumpton also nabbed six points, recording three goals and matched her season high of three assists, while also securing two crucial possessions off of ground balls.
Defensive Player of the Week
Meredith Leavell, Detroit Mercy, Goalkeeper
Junior, Sarasota, Fla. (IMG Academy)
Junior Meredith Leavell started in net and tied her career high with a season-best 17 saves in 45 minutes. She blanked the Bulldogs in the first quarter as UDM built a 6-0 lead. Leavell now has 18 double-digit save performances in her career. Additionally, Leavell now has 156 saves on the year, eighth in school history, while her 357 career saves are third in school history.
