Akron redshirt junior Jimmy Harkelroad won the men's 400-meter crown at the Jim Green Invitational on Friday (April 19) registering a Mid-American Conference- and season-best time of 51.12. His effort ranks as the 33rd-fastest performance in the NCAA this season and tops in the MAC. Additionally, he ran on the winning 4x400 relay on Saturday (April 20) that posted a season-best and conference-leading time of 3:10.12.

Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
Laura Nicholson, Toledo, Grad Student
Wake Forest Invite, 1500/13, 4:11.65, 1 MAC/19 NCAA
Laura Nicholson ran a 4:11.65 in the 1500m at the Wake Forest Invitational on April 19. Nicholson's time was the fastest in the MAC so far this year and ranks second all-time in Toledo history.
