GROVE CITY, Ohio – After day one of the 2024 MAC Women’s Golf Championship, the Kent State Golden Flashes lead the field with a team score of 295 (+8) at the par-72, 6,201-yard Pinnacle Golf Club. KSU sophomore Leon Takagi and freshman Veronika Kedronova each finished the day tied for the individual lead with scores of 71 (-1) in their respective first rounds.
The defending champion Golden Flashes hold a nine-stroke advantage, while Toledo comes in at second after posting a team score of 305. Northern Illinois ended the day five strokes back from the Rockets in third at 310, while Central Michigan and Bowling Green each ended their day tied for fourth with scores of 315.
The second round of the MAC Championships is set for tomorrow with tee times beginning at 9:30 a.m. ET with live coverage beginning at 12:30 ET on ESPN+.
