MUNCIE, Ind. -- The 2024 Mid-American Conference Gymnastics Championship will take place on Saturday, March 23rd in Muncie, Indiana on the campus of Ball State University. The one-day Championship will feature all seven MAC Gymnastics teams as they square off for the MAC Tournament Title.
Ball State Cardinals
Ball State enters the MAC Championships ranked 35th nationally with an NQS of 196.520 and is mathematically locked for a berth into the 2024 NCAA Championships according to the latest Road to Nationals Rankings.
BSU's program record score of 198.025 at the Tennessee Collegiate Classic (Jan. 19) is the 31st-highest team score in the nation ... The Cardinals were the first program in the country to break the 198 mark this season, while No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 2 Cal, No. 3 LSU, No. 4 Florida, No. 5 Utah, No. 6 Kentucky, No. 7 Alabama, No. 9 Michigan State, No. 11 UCLA and No. 12 Arkansas are the only programs to score higher than Ball State since.
The Cardinals have proven to be one of the nation's top bars teams this season, ranking 23rd nationally with an NQS of 49.255 ... In fact, Ball State's program record score of 49.775 on bars at the Tennessee Collegiate Classic (Jan. 19) ties as the seventh-best team score on any apparatus in the nation this season.

Bowling Green Falcons
The Bowling Green gymnastics team heads to Muncie, Ind., on Saturday as Ball State hosts the 2024 MAC Championship. The meet to crown the league champion will start at 2 p.m. at Worthen Arena.
Bowling Green is ranked No. 56 in the nation per Road to Nationals. Ball State is ranked No. 35, Central Michigan is No. 39, Eastern Michigan is No. 47, Kent State is No. 23, NIU is No. 52 and Western Michigan is No. 39
The Falcons are ranked No. 55 on beam and vault, No. 57 on bars and No. 59 on floor. BGSU has won four MAC team championships, with the last coming in 2002. Bowling Green has 15 different Falcons who have won MAC Individual Championships with the last being Taylor Jenson on beam in last year's championship with a career-high 9.900.

Eastern Michigan Eagles
Eastern Michigan finished its 2024 regular-season campaign with a 7-9 overall record and sits 2-4 in the MAC, holding league wins over Bowling Green, Feb. 11, and Northern Illinois, Feb. 18. The team stands fifth in the MAC standings with a National Qualifying Score (NQS) of 195.595 and an average score of 195.105.
Overall, the team's 196.450 season-high score at Kent State, March 3, ranks third best in EMU program history and was just the second 196.000 team score or above of the season. For reference, the highest score achieved by EMU in its all-time history was a 196.600 set at Bowling Green State University, Feb. 13, 2016.
EMU has earned a team top-10 record book score seven times this season. Most recently, the team's 196.450 team score at Kent State, March 3, ranks third best in EMU program history, while the team's 49.250 bars score ties for second best all-time, and the 49.250 beam score ranks fifth all-time. Kent State Golden Flashes
Kent State has set five of the six-highest totals in program history this season with a 197.725 at the Tennessee Collegiate Classic in January, a 197.200 against Eastern Michigan, a 197.100 against Bowling Green, 196.950 against Western Michigan, and a 196.925 against NIU.
The Flashes are ranked in the RoadToNationals.com poll for the second consecutive week, clocking in at No. 23 in the nation. The Flashes are the lone MAC squad in the top 25, ranking 17th on floor and 26th on vault.
After being picked to finish fourth in the preseason poll, Kent State claimed its second regular season championship with its win over Bowling Green on Sunday. The Flashes tied with Ball State on top of the conference standings with a 5-1 record in MAC duel meets. Kent State has now won 10 total regular season titles, including two in the last three seasons.

Western Michigan Broncos
Western Michigan heads into the championship tied for the third-highest NQS in the MAC at 195.950, matching rival Central Michigan. As a team, the Broncos rank third on vault with a NQS of 49.125, but have the second-best average score in the event at 49.059. WMU ranks fifth on bars with a NQS of 48.925 and an average of 48.670. Western Michigan also ranks fifth on beam with a NQS of 48.775 and an average of 48.530. WMU's highest conference ranking comes on floor at second, with a NQS of 49.420 and an average of 49.286.
Individually, Halle Faulkner and Cassie St. Clair are both in the top 10 on vault. Faulkner is tied for sixth at 9.855 and an average of 9.844 St. Clair is tied at 10th with a 9.845 and an average of 9.743. No Bronco ranks in the top 10 on bars, while Payton Murphy and Amanda Gruber are both in the top 10 on beam. Murphy is tied for seventh with a 9.830 NQS and an average of 9.770, the fifth-highest average in the conference. Gruber is tied for 10th with a 9.820 and an average of 9.775. Murphy is the top performer in the conference on floor. The First Team All-MAC selection in the vent, she has a NQS of 9.940 and an average of 9.893. St. Clair is tied for sixth with a NQS of 9.895 and an average of 9.882. Murphy also ranks fourth in the all-around with a NQS of 39.310 and an average of 39.100.
