MAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week

Graduate student guard Shereef Mitchell led the Ohio men's basketball team during the final week of the regular season. Overall on the week, Mitchell averaged 20.5 points a game, while shooting 54.2 percent from the field, 50 percent from three and 62.5 percent from the line. He also averaged 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals a game in 31.5 minutes on the court. Mitchell's efforts helped the Bobcats to two wins, extending their win streak to six games and helping them capture the third seed in this year's MAC tournament. 
 
On Tuesday at Buffalo, Mitchell scored 21 points, going 6-of-8 from the field and going 3-of-5 from three and 6-of-9 from the line. He also grabbed five rebounds, dished out three assists and had three steals in the win. Mitchell scored another 20 points on Friday at Miami, going 7-of-16 from the field, 2-of-5 from three and 4-of-7 from the line, while also grabbing eight rebounds and dishing out two assists in the win.
