Ethan Yost ran the mile in a personal-best time of 4:03.25 Saturday at the Meyo Invitational. Yost’s MAC-leading time puts him at #4 on Kent State’s all-time performance list.

Hunter Garretson, Akron, R-Junior
Akron Invitational, PV/1st, 5.62m, 1 MAC/3 NCAA
Akron redshirt junior Hunter Garretson eclipsed a career-best mark of18-5.25 (5.62m) to capture the men's pole vault at the Akron Invitational on Friday (Feb. 2). His effort stands as the No. 3 mark in the NCAA this season and top-rated performance in the league, while also representing the No. 3 mark in indoor program history.
Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
Chloie Musta, Eastern Michigan, Junior
Meyo Invitational, 800m/1st, 2:09.30, 2 MAC
Eastern Michigan women’s track and field junior Chloie Musta (Mesick, Mich./Cadillac) soared to new heights at the Meyo Invitational, hosted by the University of Notre Dame, Feb. 2-3. For the second time in the previous three meets, Musta set a personal-best in the 800m run, this time completing the race in 2:09.30 for a first-place finish. Musta’s 2:09.30 currently stands as the second-fastest 800m time in the conference this season. Additionally, with the performance, the two-time Academic All-MAC selection improved her EMU top-10 standing, progressing from No. 10 all-time to No. 9 in the 800m.
Women’s Field Athlete of the Week
Jenelle Rogers, Ball State, Senior
Meyo Invitational, Penta/1st, 4163, 1 MAC/10 NCAA
Within her first two events, Rogers secured the lead and two personal bests. She ran a time of 8.42 in the 60m hurdles then achieved the highest mark of 1.76m in the high jump. Following, Rogers threw for 14.42m in the shot put, hit a mark of 5.48m in the long jump, and closed out the series running the 800m in 2:30.70. Her efforts were good for a combined winning score of 4163, a new personal best.
