Singles Player of the Week
Cassie Alcala, Toledo, Senior
Senior Cassie Alcala went 2-0 from the No. 1 court in the 2024 season-opener weekend for the Toledo women's Tennis team. Alcala, who leads the UT program with 84 career singles wins, won both of her matches this weekend against Dayton's Natalie Osiecki (6-1, 6-2), and Xavier's Imani Graham (6-1, 6-2), who was voted 2023 Big East Player of the Year.
Doubles Team of the Week
Ambre Amat/Esmee Andresen, Buffalo, 5th Year/Junior
Ambre Amat and Esmee Andresen came up big this weekend as they picked up a 6-2 win at first doubles to help Buffalo earn a crucial doubles point in a 4-3 win at Air Force on Friday night. The duo now has six wins in doubles action, the most of any pair on the team.
