AKRON, Ohio (AP) Xavier Castaneda's 30 points led Akron over Buffalo 86-66 on Saturday night.

Castaneda had six rebounds for the Zips (19-8, 11-3 Mid-American Conference). Enrique Freeman added 21 points while shooting 7 of 14 from the field and 7 for 9 from the line, and he also had 10 rebounds. Nate Johnson went 5 of 6 from the field to finish with 11 points.

The Bulls (12-15, 6-8) were led by Armoni Foster, who recorded 12 points and two steals. Buffalo also got 11 points and six rebounds from Isaiah Adams. Jonnivius Smith also put up 11 points.

Miami 66, Northern Illinois 65

DEKALB, Ill. (AP) Anderson Mirambeaux tied the game with a 3-pointer with five seconds left in regulation, then scored six of his 18 points in overtime to help Miami (OH) edge past Northern Illinois, 66-65 on Saturday night.

Mirambeaux also had nine rebounds for the RedHawks (9-18, 3-11 Mid-American Conference). Morgan Safford scored 16 points while going 7 of 17 (1 for 5 from distance), and added 10 rebounds and five assists. Mekhi Lairy recorded 12 points and shot 3 of 8 from the field and 6 for 6 from the line.

Anthony Crump finished with 17 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and four steals for the Huskies (11-16, 7-7). Zarigue Nutter added 16 points and four assists for Northern Illinois. In addition, Darweshi Hunter finished with 14 points and seven rebounds.

Ohio 76, Central Michigan 59

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) AJ Clayton's 18 points helped Ohio defeat Central Michigan 76-59 on Saturday.

Clayton shot 5 for 10 (4 for 7 from 3-point range) and 4 of 4 from the free throw line for the Bobcats (16-11, 8-6 Mid-American Conference). Jaylin Hunter added 14 points while going 5 of 12 from the floor, including 2 for 5 from distance, and 2 for 3 from the line, and he also had six assists and six steals. Miles Brown was 4 of 6 shooting (4 for 5 from distance) to finish with 12 points.

Reggie Bass led the way for the Chippewas (10-17, 5-9) with 22 points. Brian Taylor added 16 points, six rebounds and two steals for Central Michigan. In addition, Markus Harding finished with 12 points.

Toledo 91, Bowling Green 86

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) Rayj Dennis' 27 points helped Toledo defeat Bowling Green 91-86 on Saturday night.

Dennis added seven rebounds and seven assists for the Rockets (21-6, 12-2 Mid-American Conference). JT Shumate scored 18 points and added five rebounds. Dante Maddox Jr. was 4 of 5 shooting, including 3 for 3 from distance, and went 3 for 5 from the line to finish with 14 points. The Rockets prolonged their winning streak to 11 games.

Samari Curtis led the Falcons (10-17, 4-10) in scoring, finishing with 18 points and six assists. Bowling Green also got 16 points, seven assists and two steals from Kaden Metheny. Brenton Mills also put up 13 points, seven rebounds and three steals. The loss is the seventh in a row for the Falcons.

Western Michigan 78, Ball State 68

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) Tray Maddox Jr. scored 22 points as Western Michigan beat Ball State 78-68 on Saturday.

Maddox was 6 of 13 shooting, including 3 for 7 from distance, and went 7 for 11 from the line for the Broncos (7-20, 3-11 Mid-American Conference). Lamar Norman Jr. scored 20 points and added three steals. Owen Lobsinger went 7 of 9 from the field to finish with 15 points. The Broncos snapped a nine-game slide.

Jaylin Sellers led the Cardinals (19-8, 10-4) in scoring, finishing with 22 points. Jarron Coleman added 15 points and four assists for Ball State. Payton Sparks also had 11 points, eight rebounds and two steals. The Cardinals broke a six-game winning streak with the loss.
