Wrestling 12.19.2023 MAC Announces Wrestlers of the Week Co-West Wrestlers of the Week Billy Meiszner, Kent State, Sophomore, 141 lbs Meiszner won all three of his matches on Kent State's three-dual, two-state frenzy on Sunday. The Illinois native won by two major decisions and a tech fall, out scoring his opponents 47-8. The victories included a win over SIUE's Danny Martinez by a 17-1 tech fall, Meiszner came in ranked 60 spots below Martinez entering the match according to Wrestle Stat and what was the sixth (Meiszner) vs fifth (Martinez) ranked wrestlers at 141 in the MAC. Brock Woodcock, SIUE, Freshman, 157 lbs Woodcock provided bonus points in both of SIUE's wins over Cal Baptist and Kent State. Collecting his first two wins of the season, he started by defeating Cal Baptist's Chaz Hallmark 12-3 as the team went on to win 20-15. Woodcock added a technical fall against Kent State's Keegan Knapp 17-1 as the Cougars collected a MAC West win 23-20.
