MAC Field Hockey Co-Offensive Players of the Week
Patricia Strunk, Kent State, F/M, Sophomore
Patricia contributed to the Flashes offense this weekend in the final two contests of the regular season. Strunk recorded two goals and four points against Indiana and played every minute including overtime (68). In a 1-0 MAC victory against Bellarmine on Friday, Strunk was a strong presence on attack and secured three shots on goal.
 
Claudia Negrete Garcia, Miami, M/S, Senior
Claudia scored her MAC-leading 3rd game-winner in conference play and her 5th overall as Miami defeated Ball State 5-1. She scored twice in the game to lead the RedHawks to the victory and clinch the conference championship and the top seed.
 
MAC Field Hockey Defensive Player of the Week
Berta Mata, Miami, M/B, Junior
Berta led a defense that allowed only one corner to Ball State and 3 shots in total, the lowest totals for the Cardinals this season. At the other end of the field, she scored an unassisted goal, her first of the season.
