MAC Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week

Freshman Scout Murray had an incredible week on the field, scoring 2 goals with 2 assist. Murray saw the most minutes this week than in prior weeks, proving to be a solid offensive player for the Bobcats. Along with her 2 goals, Murray also showed her ability to provide and set up her teammates with great opportunities for them to get the ball in the back of the net. Murray is a well-rounded forward and her value this week on and off the field has been extremely impactful.
MAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Tess Ford, Buffalo, Defender
Graduate Student, Williamsville, NY (Williamsville East)
Graduate student defender Tess Ford had a solid week for the Bulls as she anchored the UB back line to two straight shutout victories and added an assist to lead Buffalo to a 2-0 record on the weekend. On Thursday night, Ford assisted on the game-winning goal in the 71st minute and also anchored led the Bulls to their first shutout victory of the year. On Sunday, Ford and the UB defense recorded their second straight shutout win at Duquesne, holding the Dukes to four total shots, and just one on goal, and only two corner kick opportunities.
