HOW IT HAPPENED

Miami broke the game open in the second inning. A Chloe Parks RBI single up the middle made it 3-0, and Spaid followed with a two-run blast to straightaway center to give the RedHawks a 5-0 cushion. Holly Blaska made it back-to-back homers with a long drive to left-center, putting Miami up 6-0 and forcing a BGSU pitching change. After Allie Cummins beat out an infield single, Coyne ripped a homer just inside the left field foul pole for an 8-0 margin.
