MAC Announces 2022 Women's Golf Postseason Awards

Cleveland, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced the 2022 Women’s Golf All-MAC First and Second Teams and specialty awards, including the Player, Freshman, and Coach of the Year.
 
Kent State’s Emily Price was named MAC Golfer of the Year.  Price dominated all season long, taking individual wins at the Illini Women's Invitational in the fall and at the Lady Buckeye Invitational this spring. The senior took home MAC Women's Golfer of the Week honors four times and was a multiple-time MAC Female Scholar-Athlete of the week.
 
Northern Illinois’ Kim Kester was named MAC Coach of the Year after leading the Huskies to a second-place finish at this year’s MAC Championships.  Kester coached Jasmine Ly to the school’s first ever Mid-American Conference women’s golf individual championship and the Huskies fifth straight top three finish in MAC Championships.
 
The Golden Flashes Jennifer Gu earned MAC Freshman of the Year honors. Gu finished her 2021-22 season in style, becoming the top freshman finisher at the MAC-Championship and finishing inside the top-50 in half of the events she entered, with a tie for 33rd at the Wolverine Invitational in Michigan.
