Holland, Ohio -- The Kent State Golden Flashes won their 23rd consecutive Mid-American Conference Women's Golf Championship on Sunday afternoon at Stone Oak Country Club. Kent State shot 299 in the final round for an overall score of 889 (+25).
Jasmine Ly of Northern Illinois led all weekend long and finished as the individual champion after shooting rounds of 69, 73 and 73 (215). Ly made history by becoming the first ever individual champion for the Northern Illinois women’s golf program.
Kent State’s Chloe Salort and Emily Price finished second and third, respectively to pace the Flashes. Salort ended the weekend with a final round of 74 (219) and Price 77 (220).
The 2022 Sportswoman of the Year was awarded to Liz Kim of Ball State for her positive rapport with competitors and fellow teammates throughout the year.
