BUFFALO, N.Y. – Sophomore guard Ryan Rollins and junior forward Setric Millner Jr. each scored 20 points as Toledo rolled to a 92-76 victory at Buffalo Tuesday night, clinching at least a share of its second straight Mid-American Conference championship.

Toledo (24-6, 16-3 MAC) won for the sixth time in its last seven games, while snapping Buffalo's (19-9, 13-5 MAC) nine-game winning streak. The Rockets shot a sizzling 34-of-64 (53.1%) from the field, including 9-of-17 from long range. Six different Rockets made at least one three-pointer.

Rollins added eight rebounds and six assists to go with his 20 points. Junior guard RayJ Dennis chipped in with 19 points, six rebounds and six assists, while junior forward JT Shumate pitched in with 14 points while battling foul trouble.

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- — Daeqwon Plowden and Matiss Kulackovskis scored 18 points apiece as Bowling Green narrowly beat Ohio 80-77 on Tuesday night.

Samari Curtis added 16 points and Trey Diggs had 13 points for Bowling Green (13-17, 6-13 Mid-American Conference), which broke its six-game losing streak.

Curtis made two free throws in the closing seconds for an 80-75 lead.

Ben Vander Plas had 25 points and eight rebounds for the Bobcats (23-7, 14-5). Mark Sears added 22 points and 13 rebounds. Ben Roderick had 14 points.

The Falcons leveled the season series against the Bobcats. Ohio defeated Bowling Green 85-78 on Jan. 11.
Akron 79, Ball State 60

MUNCIE, Ind. -- — Xavier Castaneda had 22 points as Akron topped Ball State 79-60 on Tuesday night.

Enrique Freeman had 18 points and 16 rebounds for Akron (20-9, 13-6 Mid-American Conference), which earned its fourth straight win. Ali Ali added 16 points and Mikal Dawson had 11 points.

Tyler Cochran had 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Cardinals (13-16, 8-10). Demarius Jacobs added 10 points and seven rebounds.

The Zips improve to 2-0 against the Cardinals for the season. Akron defeated Ball State 84-74 on Jan. 11.
Miami 75, Central Michigan 61

MT. PLEASANT, Mich. -- — Kamari Williams had a career-high 21 points as Miami (Ohio) beat Central Michigan 75-61 on Tuesday night.

Dae Dae Grant had 19 points and six assists for Miami (13-17, 7-12 Mid-American Conference). Isaiah Coleman-Lands added seven rebounds. Williams hit 4 of 6 3-pointers.

Kevin Miller had 19 points, seven assists and six rebounds for the Chippewas (7-21, 6-11). Cameron Healy added 17 points. Harrison Henderson had 14 points.

The RedHawks leveled the season series against the Chippewas. Central Michigan defeated Miami 83-69 last Thursday.

Kent State 63, Northern Illinois 55

DEKALB, Ill. -- — Sincere Carry had 22 points as Kent State won its 11th straight game, getting past Northern Illinois 63-55 on Tuesday night.

Malique Jacobs had 12 points and nine rebounds for Kent State (20-9, 15-4 Mid-American Conference). Justyn Hamilton added 11 points.

Keshawn Williams had 16 points for the Huskies (8-21, 5-14), whose losing streak reached five games. Chinedu Kingsley Okanu added 14 points. Darweshi Hunter had six rebounds.

Trendon Hankerson, the Huskies' second leading scorer entering the matchup at 12 points per game, shot only 18% in the game (2 of 11).

The Golden Flashes leveled the season series against the Huskies, who beat Kent State 65-63 on Jan. 11.
