Lindsey Zieglar, Western Michigan, Junior, Dayton Beach, Fla.
Zieglar went 2-1 in singles this weekend as the Broncos picked up a pair of wins over Ferris State and fell at No. 12 Michigan. Against the Wolverines she played at No. 1, falling to Andrea Cerdan 7-6 (1), 6-2. She rebounded on Sunday with a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 1 over Agata Klack and then moved to No. 2 to pick up a 6-1, 6-2 win over Brittany Lavenant in the afternoon match.
Women’s Tennis Athletes of the Week // Doubles
Amy Kaplan, Ball State, Junior, Brooklyn, N.Y.
Isabelle Behrman, Ball State, Sophomore, Muncie, Ind.
The No. 3 duo of Amy Kaplan and Isabelle Behrman were the first twosome off the court Saturday against Eastern Illinois. The twosome registered a 6-2 win over the Panthers Lauren Ellis and Kaitlyn Snyder. Kaplan and Behrman helped the Cardinals capture the doubles point over EIU and later earn the 7-0 sweep over the Panthers.
