Cross Country Honors 139 as Academic All-MAC

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced its 2021 Men's and Women's Cross Country Academic All-MAC teams Tuesday. A total of 87 student-athletes were named to the women's team while 51 student-athletes were named to the men's team.
 
On the women’s side, Toledo tabbed 11 student-athletes on this year’s squad. Central Michigan named 10 student-athletes while Bowling Green and Ohio followed with nine student-athletes apiece.
 
Buffalo led the men's team in 2021 with a total of 11 honorees, followed by Toledo tabbing 8 student-athletes.
 
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
