CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference has announced the 2021 Women’s Lacrosse Academic All-MAC Team. A total of 77 student-athletes were named to this year’s squad.
Robert Morris led the way with 18 student-athletes on this year’s team. Central Michigan and Kent State followed close behind with 17 honorees each. Central Michigan’s Sierra Savage (Psychology), Kent State’s Eva Nikolai (Marketing) and Youngstown State’s Elicia Wells (Social Work) were the only student-athletes on the team that posted a 4.0 GPA.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
