CLEVELAND, Ohio - Buffalo has been selected to win the MAC regular season and tournament title in the 2021-22 Men's Basketball Preseason Coaches Poll. The Bulls received a total of 11 first place votes to win the regular season championship, while grabbing eight votes to win the Tournament title. Ten of the league's top men's basketball players were also selected to the Preseason All-MAC first and second teams as announced by the league office.
Buffalo returns the majority of the team from last year that finished 16-9, making an appearance in the Mid-American Conference Championship game and earning an at-large bid into the National Invitation Tournament.
11 players on the Buffalo roster were on last year's squad, including second-team All-MAC selections Jeenathan Williams and Josh Mballa. This year's squad features nine seniors, making the team one of the most veteran squads in the nation.
