Worthing was the top performer for the Golden Eagles at the Davidson Quad on Saturday, going 3-0 and helping Clarion to a 2-1 weekend. His first win of the day was undoubtedly the most impressive, as he defeated seventh-ranked Jackson Turley of 19th-ranked Rutgers by a 12-6 decision. Worthing followed that up with a decision over Chattanooga's Carial Tarter to help Clarion to a 22-16 dual win over the Mocs, and closed the day with a pinfall over Davidson's Steven Newell.

Central Michigan senior Dresden Simon dominated in capturing the A Pool at 141 pounds at the Journeyman Classic in Manheim, Pa., a tournament that featured a unique round-robin format. Simon, a two-time NCAA qualifier and an All-American in 2020 who is ranked 12th nationally by WIN, opened with a 15-3 major-decision victory over Julian Sanchez of Army and then posted a 12-7 win over Grant Willits of Oregon State. Simon then downed Josh Mason of Bloomsburg, 10-4, in the final.

Izzak Olejnik improved to 4-1 on the season after posting an impressive win over Joe Casey of Rider in the conference opener for both teams. After taking a 6-3 lead into the final period, the Huskie junior posted a 12-4 maj. dec. victory over Casey with six more points in the third.
