Another School Record
DeKALB, Ill. - Just two weeks after setting a school record for team score, the Ball State gymnastics team went on the road and beat that mark. BSU's 195.800 team score Sunday at Northern Illinois set a new school record. A much-improved effort on bars helped the Cardinals get the day started. The Cards totaled 48.925 on the event, a season high for the team. Arden Hudson and Grace Evans each charted 9.825 and then a 9.900 vault routine from Marissa Nychyk kept the Cardinals going.

Bowling Green:
Falcons Place Second At Kent State Quad Meet
KENT, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University gymnastics team scored a 193.275 and placed second at the Kent State Quad Meet Friday night. The host school won the meet with a 195.450, while Ursinus scored 188.125 and Brockport finished with 187.725. BGSU got event victories from Samantha Marion on vault and Jovannah East on the balance beam. For Marion, it was just her second career event victory and first ever on vault. East won an event for the 64th time in her career.

Chippewa Gymnasts Complete Big Weekend With Solid Score
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Central Michigan gymnastics team dropped a nonconference dual to Illinois on Sunday at the Fighting Illini's Huff Hall. The loss brought to an end CMU's two-meet win streak. The Chippewas, who defeated Mid-American Conference rival Western Michigan on Friday, are 5-6. The Illini, who entered Sunday's meet ranked 22nd nationally, finished with 196.225 points. The Chippewas, ranked 37th, finished at 195.500. It was CMU's third-best score of the season. The Chippewas posted a season-best 196.075 on Friday at home against Western.

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Big scores on a big night for a surging Central Michigan gymnastics team. Hannah Demers set a career high on uneven parallel bars and Denelle Pedrick accomplished the same feat on floor exercise as the Chippewas posted a season-best team score on Friday in topping Western Michigan in a Mid-American Conference dual meet at McGuirk Arena. CMU finished with a 196.075 team score, topping the benchmark 196 for the first time this season. CMU's previous best, 195.675, came in its season-opening meet. The Broncos finished at 194.950.

Eagles Defeat Air Force
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Eastern Michigan University gymnastics team put together a dominant performance at the U.S. Air Force Academy Saturday, Feb. 29. The Green and White snapped a four-meet losing streak by defeating the Falcons, 194.700-192.575. Eastern Michigan took an early 48.525-47.750 lead and never looked back. Juniors Cortney Bezold and Jada Rondeau led the Eagles on bars to start the meet, scoring 9.825's and tying for first-place. Freshman Hannah Hartung followed with a 9.725 to earn fourth, while sophomore Charlotte Reynolds contributed a score of 9.575 for eighth-place.

Kent State:
Flashes Post Second-Highest Score of Season and Dominate Pink Meet
KENT, Ohio – The Kent State gymnastics team (12-2, 2-2 MAC) dominated its annual pink meet, posting its second-highest score of the season (195.450) in front of a fantastic crowd inside the M.A.C. Center. Two Golden Flashes earned individual event titles as freshman Rachel DeCavitch tied a career-high 9.875 on bars and junior Abby Fletcher nailed a near-perfect floor routine (9.900) to win the event title. Freshman Karlie Franz led the Flashes on vault, tying a career high with a score of 9.800 and finishing in third place. Four other Golden Flashes scored above a 9.700 including fellow freshmen Olivia Amodei and DeCavitch who each scored a 9.775.

Huskies Drop Close Decision to Ball State
DeKALB, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University gymnastics team celebrated Senior Day Sunday by posting its second-highest score of the season, and its sixth-best all-time in a 195.800-195.750 loss to Mid-American Conference foe Ball State. The Huskies entered the final rotation trailing by .350 and made up all but the last .050 on floor exercise while posting its top team floor score of the season with a 49.075. Ball State's 48.775 on balance beam was enough to edge NIU, which fell to 4-6 overall and 3-2 in the MAC. Despite the loss, the Huskies' scores from Friday and Sunday during a double meet weekend show the strides NIU has made as the season enters the stretch run, said head coach Sam Morreale.

Huskies Fall To Southest Missouri State
LEBANON, Tenn. – Northern Illinois University gymnasts won three events and the Huskies hit for team scores above their average on vault, balance beam and floor exercise, but fell to Southeast Missouri, 195.800-194.775, Friday night at the Tennessee Collegiate Classic. NIU opened the meet by scoring a 49.025 on vault to record the fourth-highest team score in school history on vault, led by senior Amanda Bartemio who earned a career high 9.875 to win the event. She was followed by Tara Kofmehl and Cinny Lamberti, who each scored a 9.850 to tie for second, while Tennessee native Gabby Welch added a 9.825.

Broncos Go Down to the Wire at Central Michigan
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – A back-and-forth battle between Western Michigan and Central Michigan gymnastics went in favor of the host Chippewas by a 196.075-194.950 final on Friday night inside McGuirk Arena. The first three rotations featured a CMU lead, a WMU lead and then a tie heading into the final rotation. The Broncos dropped their first Mid-American Conference meet of the season, dipping to 5-2 in dual meets and 4-1 in MAC competition. The team score was WMU's seventh of the year higher than 194.800.
