Gym Cards Jump Past Kent State
MUNCIE, Ind. - Ball State gymnastics has made its way in recent seasons with strong scores on vault. And starting that event in home meets gives the team great momentum heading into the other rotations. But what happens when the big vault isn't there? Ball State's 48.575 team score on vault tied its lowest mark of the year, but the Cardinals made up for it with a bars rotation among the season's best.

Bowling Green:
Falcons Bounce Back With Strong Performance At West Virginia
MORGANTOWN, W.V. – Just two days after struggling at home in a dual-meet home loss to Central Michigan, the Bowling Green State University gymnastics team bounced back with its second-best team score of the year. The Falcons recorded a 194.225 team score and placed third of four teams at West Virginia's Beauty and the Beast quad meet. West Virginia led wire-to-wire and scored a 196.000 to take first place. Western Michigan added a 195.075, followed by BGSU. Towson finished fourth with a 193.425 team score.

East Reaches Career Milestone Friday Against Central Michigan
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – A short-handed Bowling Green State University gymnastics team was unable to overcome one of the top teams in the Mid-American Conference Friday as Central Michigan defeated the Falcons 195.400-191.850. BGSU led after one rotation but the Falcons struggled in the middle two sets before rebounding on the floor exercise to close out the meet. Senior Jovannah East won the vault and placed in the top three on beam, floor and in the all-around to go over 100 career top-three finishes. She entered the meet with 98 in her star-studded career.

Gymnasts Break Through, Top Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Making strides, turning the corner, and winning. A good night all the way around for the Central Michigan gymnastics team. Denelle Pedrick won the floor exercise and the uneven parallel bars and Morgan Tong placed first on balance beam on Friday as the Chippewas topped Bowling Green in a Mid-American Conference dual at the Falcons' Anderson Arena. The Chippewas finished with a 195.400 score, their second highest of the season and their best since they posted a 195.675 in their season-opener. The Falcons finished with 191.800.

Kent State:
Manitkul-Davis, DeCavitch Win Events in Loss to Cardinals
MUNCIE, Ind. – Kent State suffered its first setback since the opening meet of the season as the team dropped it's second Mid-American Conference matchup of the season to Ball State, 194.575-194.450. The Flashes dominated the first two rotations with freshman Rachel DeCavitch picking up the individual bars title with a career-high 9.875 and junior Nasha Manitkul-Davis securing the individual vault title (9.775). DeCavitch and freshman Karlie Franz tied for second place on vault (9.750).

Huskies Take Third at GW Quad Meet
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Northern Illinois University gymnastics team earned its second-highest team score of the season with solid performances across all four events to take third place at the George Washington "Sweet Meet" Sunday at the Charles E. Smith Center in Washington, D.C. NIU totaled a score of 195.450 to finish behind N.C. State (196.025) and host George Washington (195.900) while defeating Temple (195.075) in its first multi-team outing of the season.

Western Michigan:
Broncos Top 195 at WVU Quad Meet
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Western Michigan gymnastics team finished second at the West Virginia Quad Meet on Sunday inside the WVU Coliseum. The Broncos tallied a final score of 195.075. Overall this season, WMU has surpassed 195.000 four times and upped its national qualifying score to 195.060, the highest in the Mid-American Conference. Individually on Sunday, freshman Ronni Binstock and sophomore Carissa Ludwig had the highest finishes as Binstock claimed third on the floor and Ludwig tied for third on the vault. Junior Morgan Spence finished third in the all-around with a 38.350.
