MAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week
Jorge Gonzalez, SIUE  

Forward, Senior, Valencia, Spain       
 
Jorge Gonzalez led the way for SIUE, scoring three times on a team-high 13 shots, including eight on goal. The week began with an overtime winner against Butler. He scored twice in a losing effort, in another overtime game, on the road at Oral Roberts.

Kevin Morris, West Virginia   
Defender, Junior, Mt. Airy, Md.                    
 
Kevin Morris tallied the game-winning goal for West Virginia in its come-from-behind, overtime win at Cincinnati on Sept. 17. Morris won a header and found the back of the net for the Mountaineers in the 96th minute to earn his first goal of the season and second career game-winner. Morris also logged 185 of WVU's 186 minutes played last week. 
 
Christian Molina, NIU
Midfielder, Senior, Katy, Texas (Mayde Creek)        
 
Christian Molina registered a goal and an assist in NIU’s 3-1 victory over Purdue Fort Wayne in the only game of the week for the Huskies. After the Mastodons took an early lead, Molina tied the game with his first goal of the season in the 34th minute. Just two minutes after halftime, the senior from Katy, Texas, played provider, setting up Miguel Maynez Jr. for what would prove to be the game-winning goal. 
 
Chris Brennan, Bowling Green          
Forward, Senior, Copley, Ohio (Copley)        
 
Bowling Green senior forward Chris Brennan was directly involved in the scoring of three of the Falcons’ four goals last week. Brennan scored the opening goal for the second consecutive game on Tuesday, and that goal proved to be the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over Cleveland State. The GWG was the second of his career. Then, on Saturday, Brennan had assists on two of BG’s three goals in an overtime loss to Cincinnati. His through ball led to Chris Sullivan’s first-half goal, and his throw-in was headed home by Kale Nichols in the second half. On the year, Brennan now has 10 points on three goals and four assists. He leads the Falcons in assists and points and is tied for the team lead in goals. Brennan has tripled his goal total for all of last year, and he has more than tripled his 2018 point total. He is tied for first in the MAC in both assists and points and is tied for second in the league in goals. He leads all current Falcons with career totals of 14 goals, nine assists and 37 points.
 
Charlie Sharp, Western Michigan     
Midfielder, Freshman, Brighton, Mich. (Brighton)   
 
Sharp scored the lone and game winning goal for the Broncos against Big Ten opponent Michigan State on the road. He also led his team with five total shots (four on goal).
