Mid-American Conference

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced Friday the 2018-19 Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Academic All-MAC Team. A total of 169 student-athletes were named to the team from this past season.
 
Of the student-athletes receiving the honor, seven recorded a perfect 4.0 grade point average: Mackenzie Andrews (Akron), Madison Kiser (BSU), Aliyah Gustafson (BGSU), Maegan Murphy (Miami), Alyssa Atkinson (Ohio), Courtney Guiley (Ohio), and Jessica Hartman (Ohio).
 
Miami leads the conference with 23 student-athletes named to the academic team. Western Michigan follows with 18, while Toledo places 17 on the 2019 squad and Central Michigan and Kent State each land 16 honorees.
 
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
