MID-AMERICAN CONFERENCE ANNOUNCES WOMEN’S TENNIS ACADEMIC ALL-MAC TEAM
 
Cleveland, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference (MAC) announced the 2019 Women’s Tennis Academic All-MAC Team with 31 students named to the honor. 
 
Heading this year’s list are eleven three-time Academic All-MAC selections, including Akron senior’s Louisa Echeverry and Sophia Geier, Ball State senior Isabelle Dohanics, Bowling green senior Polina Radeva, Buffalo senior’s Chantal Martinez Blanco and Sanjana Sudhir, Miami senior Emily Struble, Toledo senior Claire Aleck and Western Michigan senior’s Denise Azcui, Katja Fevralev and Melina Lyubomirova.
 
Six two-time Academic All-MAC selections include Akron junior Rita Pedroso, Bowling Green junior’s Ayumi Sasaki and Marharita-Sophia Tavpash, Northern Illinois junior Brodie Walker, Toledo junior Dee Dee Leenabanchong and Western Michigan junior Gabriela Slovova.
 
Fifteen first-time selections Akron’s Carla Flores and Anna Uljanov, Ball State’s Peyton Gollhofer, Rebecca Herrington, Victoria Sec and Sarah Swiderski, Bowling Green’s Marta Bettinelli and Vanesa Pardo, Buffalo’s Emel Abibula, Miami’s Melati Devi and Makenzie Myers, Northern Illinois’ Lara Slisko, Toledo’s Kokoro Chishaki and Western Michigan’s Valerie Riegraf.
 
Nominees must have a minimum 3.20 cumulative grade point average to be eligible for the team.
