MUNCIE, Indiana
- With a three-day point total of 199, the Akron Zips captured their programs eight Mid-American Conference Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship title.

Kent State's Trevor Detillion started the day off defending his title in the discus with a throw of 52.89m (173'6"). Buffalo's Sam Wray landed second at 50.48m (165'7") and Eastern Michigan's Taige Bryant took third with a loft of 47.81m (156'10").

Buffalo's Brandon Burke became the second Bull in program history to win the high jump title. The sophomore cleared a personal best 2.15m (7'0.5"). Akron finished 2-3 with Curtis Richardson and Nuh Andu both leaping over 2.07m (6'9.5"). Richardson cleared his first jump to edge our Andu for second.

Akron maintains their dominance in the pole vault with Cole Wigal taking the 2019 title, becoming the Zips 12th individual champion. He edged out teammate, Matt Ludwig on attempts to take first, with both clearing 5.20m (17'0.75).

Kent State's Craig Stevens, Jr. earned his third-straight outdoor triple jump title with a leap of 15.84m (51'11.75"). His teammate, Anthony Milliner landed in second with a jump of 15.47m (50'9.25"). Eastern Michigan's Nick Herbert placed third at 15.28m (50'1.75").

Akron took the first running event title of the day with the 4x100 relay team of Jace Roundtree, Malcom Briley, Marcques Gibbs and Amir Willis crossing in 40.39. Eastern Michigan finished second in 40.42 and Kent State followed in at 40.87 to take third.

Miami's Sean Torpy dropped a time of 3:54.03 to claim the 1500m title. Torpy's twin brother, Chris finished third in 3:55.25. Akron's Marc Migliozzi split the brothers to with a time of 3:55.20 to take second.

Akron freshman Patrick Kimball took the 110m hurdles title with a time of 13.96, just edging out Central Michigan's Shane Moffo who crossed at 14.07. Third place went to Miami's Aaron Muresan, who finished in 14.22.

Akron coninued to dominate the track with freshman Noah Williams claiming the 400m title with a time of 45.72. Eastern Michigan's Tyler Underwood took second at 46.00 and Central Michigan's Jack Dodge followed in third at 46.98. 

Eastern Michigan's Terrell Posada posted a 10.46 in the 100m, securing the 2019 crown. Akron grabbed the 2-3 spots with freshmen Demetrius Jackson and Malcom Briley respectively finishing in 10.49 and 10.58.

Sean Torpy picked up his second title of the day with a 1:48.53 in the 800m. Buffalo's Leon Atkins took second at 1:49.91 and Miami's Jonathan Fee garnered a third-place finish with a 1:51.07.

Central Michigan freshman Jackson Blanchard earned his first MAC title with a 52.26 finish in the 400m hurdles. Miami's Aaron Mursean crossed second in 52.63 and Akron's Garrett White took third at 53.27.

Eastern Michigan soared to the finish line in the 200m, finishing 1-2. Tyler Underwood crossed first in 20.95, while his teammate Terrell Posada followed in 21.07. Akron's Demetrius Jackson crossed third at 21.12. 

Sean Torpy garnered his third individual MAC title in the 5000m, finishing in 15:00.76. Eastern Michigan grabbed the 2-3 spot with Melika Ghali crossing in 15:01.93 and Austin Wicker at 15:02.92.

Akron took the final running event of the day with a 3:12.00 time in the 4x400 relay courtesy of Garrett White, Zach Robinson, Sam Janson and Noah Williams. Eastern Michgian crossed in 3:12.59 to captrue second and Central Michigan followed in third at 3:14.07.
 
The Zips finished the championship with 199 points. Eastern Michigan followed behind in second place with 180 points and Miami took third with 139 points. Kent State (124), Central Michigan (92), and Buffalo (76) respectively completed the field.
