Akron:
Zips Defeat Ball State, 4-3
MUNCIE, Ind. – The University of Akron women's tennis team captured its 20th win in the regular-season finale with a 4-3 win at Ball State in Mid-American Conference play on Saturday afternoon at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center. The Zips (20-5 overall, 5-2 MAC) clinched a spot in the 2019 MAC Women's Tennis Championship to be held April 26-28 in Buffalo, N.Y. Seeding will be announced on Sunday, April 21, after all regular-season MAC play has concluded.

Ball State:
Cardinals Fall To Zips, 4-3
MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State women's tennis team (15-5, 4-3 MAC) lost a tight 4-3 match to Akron (20-5, 5-2 MAC) Saturday afternoon at the Northwest YMCA Tennis Center. The Cardinals paid tribute to their four seniors, Audrey Berger, Isabelle Dohanics, Peyton Gollhofer and Sarah Swiderski prior to today's match. The doubles point came down to the wire as Akron would take the first win on the top court. After that, Ball State's No. 3 doubles tandem of Dohanics and Swiderski would beat the Zips Carla Flores and C. Garcias, 6-2 to even the score.

Bowling Green:
Falcons Top Broncos, 5-2
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University tennis program pulled away with a 5-2 victory against Western Michigan following their Senior Day festivities. After honoring three seniors on the roster, the Falcons took to the court, capturing their third MAC win of the season. After quickly dominating doubles play, BGSU claimed four of the six singles matches to secure the 5-2 advantage. The win moves the Falcons' record to 10-10 on the season, with a 3-4 MAC standing.

Buffalo:
Women's Tennis Falls To Toledo
TOLEDO, OH – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team lost their regular season finale at Toledo on Friday afternoon. The Bulls will now wait for teams to complete their regular season on Sunday to see where they will finish in the standings. Toledo won the important doubles point with victories at one and two to take the early lead in the match, 1-0. The two teams split the six matches in singles with the Bulls winning all three of their matches in straight sets, while the three matches won by Toledo all went into a third set.

Miami:
Women's Tennis Clinches MAC Title With Win in Season Finale
HAMILTON, Ohio - The Miami University women's tennis team collected its 23rd Mid-American Conference Championship in program history Friday, winning a nail-biting match over the Western Michigan Broncos at Riverside Athletic Club in Hamilton to claim the outright regular season crown. The RedHawks end the regular season at 10-10 overall and 6-1 in the MAC and will enter next week's conference tournament in Buffalo as the number one seed.
The RedHawks were able to earn a crucial doubles point to start the match in a doubles session that was just as closely contested as all the singles matches that followed. Following a Bronco win at second doubles, Emily Struble and Melati Devi put away WMU's Azcui/Slavova in a 6-4 victory. The RedHawks would then clinch at first doubles as Brindtha Ramasamy and Milana Lysova would finally pull away from a back-and-forth match to win 7-5.

Rockets Top Buffalo, 4-3
Toledo, Ohio - The Toledo women's tennis team defeated Mid-American Conference defending champion Buffalo, 4-3, at Twos Athletic Club in Toledo on Friday. The match featured three-set thrillers from seniors Kokoro Chishaki and Thalita Rodrigues and freshman Christina Fuller. The Rockets came out early, clinching the doubles point with 6-3 wins from junior Dee Dee Leenabanchong/Chishaki and Rodrigues/freshman Kiersten Carlson on the No. 1 and No. 2 courts.

Women's Tennis Comes Up Short At Miami
OXFORD, Ohio - The Western Michigan women's tennis team had its chance of claiming at least a share of the Mid-American Conference regular season title come up short Friday afternoon, falling 4-2 to Miami. With the win, the Redhawks finish 6-1 in the MAC to claim the league's regular season title, while the Broncos fall to 4-2 during conference play.
