Ball State:
Men's Tennis Concludes Regular Season Wtih Win Over Bearcats

VESTAL, N.Y. - The Ball State men's tennis team wrapped up Mid-American Conference regular season action Sunday afternoon with a 4-3 win at Binghamton. With the victory, the Cardinals improved to 11-13 on the season and 2-5 in league play while the Bearcats fall to 8-14 and 0-7 in the MAC. The Cardinals opened the match by taking the doubles point. At No. 1 doubles, senior twin brother duo Marko and Nemanja Guzina started things off by breezing past Kushaan Nath and Tiago Lourenco, 6-2. Ball State then clinched the all-important first point at the No. 3 spot, where sophomore Chris Adams and senior Conner Andersen paired up to take down Josh Druger and Inigo Saez, 6-4.  Full Story...

Cardinals Fall At Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Ball State men's tennis team (10-13, 1-5 MAC) suffered a 6-1 loss in Mid-American Conference action Friday afternoon against Buffalo (11-8, 6-1 MAC).  The No. 1 doubles tandem of Marko and Nemanja Guzinastarted the Cardinals off right today in doubles play against the Bulls.  Full Story...

Binghamton:
Bearcats Fall To Cardinals


VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton men's tennis (8-14, 0-7) split six singles matches with visiting Ball State (11-13, 2-5 MAC) but the Cardinals won the doubles point to edge the Bearcats 4-3 in the regular season finale Sunday afternoon at the Lane Tennis Center. Before the match, BU honored its four seniors: Valentin Bouchet, Ludovico Cestarollo, Josh Druger and Inigo Saez. Ahead 1-0 after doubles, Ball State won three of the first four completed singles matches to clinch the win and with it, the No. 5 seed the upcoming MAC tournament. The Bearcats, who will carry the No. 6 seed in the postseason, received wins from sophomore Alejandro Pena and Bouchet to close out the match. Buffalo:
Bulls Clinch No. 2 Seed In MAC Tournament


WILLIAMSVILLE, NY – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team won their fourth straight match on Friday afternoon as the Bulls closed out the regular season with a 6-1 win over Ball State as UB clinched the second seed in the upcoming MAC Tournament with a 6-1 league record. In doubles, Ball State got out to the early advantage with a victory at one, but junior Vilhelm Fridell and sophomore Nickolas Frisk came back to win the second doubles match, 6-3.  The Bulls clinched the doubles point at three as sophomores Valdemar Holm and Matthew Johnson scored a 7-5 victory to give UB the early lead. Full Story...

Huskies Close Regular Season With A Win

TOLEDO, Ohio -- The Northern Illinois University men's tennis team won the doubles point and took five of the six singles matches as the Huskies topped Toledo, 6-1, on Sunday afternoon in the final match of the regular season. With the win, NIU evens its overall record at 11-11 and improved to 3-4 in conference play.  The Huskies and Rockets split a pair of 6-3 decisions in the doubles matches at two and three. Freshman David Pata (Bucharest, Romania/Emil Racovita) and junior Bor Schweiger Muzar (Crnomelj, Slovenia/Gimnm) scored the win at number two for NIU over Danilo Vukotic and Vince Anzalone while Juan Carranza and Cole Shoults picked up the win for Toledo at three.  Full Story...

Men's Tennis Falls To NIU


TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo men's tennis team fell 6-1 to Northern Illinois at Shadow Valley Tennis Club on Sunday afternoon. The Rockets dropped the doubles point early despite senior Juan Carranza's and freshman Cole Shoults' 6-3 victory over Erich Schuette/Eric Marbach on the No. 3 court.  Full Story...

Rockets Drop Road Match At Western Michigan

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Toledo men's tennis team fell 5-2 to Western Michigan on Friday in Kalamazoo, Mich. The match featured three-set victories from seniors Luka Vitosevic and Omar Espinosa. The Rockets fell early in doubles play on the No. 2 and No. 3 courts, leaving senior duo Espinosa/Vitosevic's match unfinished  2-5 on the No. 1 court. In singles action, Vitosevic was the first Rocket to come out victorious with a solid three-set comeback over Jannik Opitz on the No. 1 court. Full Story...

Broncos Claim Outright MAC Regular Season Title

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan men's tennis team closed out the 2019 regular season with a 5-2 win over the University of Toledo Friday, April 12 at West Hills Athletic Club to finish 7-0 in the Mid-American Conference while capturing the program's 25th MAC Regular Season Title. Head coach Dave Morin, the all-time wins leader in program history in his 23th season leading the Broncos, claimed his 400th career win at Western Michigan.  Full Story...
