Akron:
Zips Drop 4-3 Match At Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Akron women's tennis team dropped its first match in Mid-American Conference play with a 4-3 loss at Toledo on Saturday afternoon at the Twos Athletic Club. Toledo (10-6 overall, 2-1 MAC) won the doubles point over the Zips (17-4 overall, 2-1 MAC) with wins at No. 2 and 3, snapping UA's nine-match win streak. Full Story...

Ball State:
Women's Tennis Takes Down BGSU


MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State women's tennis team improved 13-4 overall and 2-2 in Mid-American Conference action after its 5-2 victory over Bowling Green (8-9, 1-3 MAC) Sunday afternoon at the Northwest YMCA Tennis Center. The Cardinals took control of the match early on against the Falcons, winning the doubles point after taking courts two and three from BGSU.  Full Story...

Cardinals Drop Close Match To Miami

HAMILTON, Ohio – The Cardinals (12-4, 1-2 MAC) dropped a 4-3 heartbreaker in Mid-American Conference action this afternoon at Miami University (5-10, 2-1 MAC). The match went down to the wire, as the score was tied for the third time at 3-3 with just the top court remaining. Senior Audrey Berger dropped the first set 6-3 against the RedHawks' Brindtha Ramasamy. Berger fought back to take the second frame from Ramasamy, 6-4, sending the match into a three set thriller. Bowling Green:
Women's Tennis Falls To Ball State


BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University tennis program concluded Sunday's (March 31) match with Ball State on the losing end of a 5-2 final. The Falcons put forth a strong effort, forcing three singles matches to a third set, but were unable to capture the win. The loss moves Bowling Green's MAC record to 1-3 on the season while their overall record adjusts to 8-9. Full Story...

Falcons Claim First MAC Win

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University tennis program claimed their first Mid-American Conference win of the season on Friday (March 29) topping Northern Illinois, 6-1. This marks the Falcons' second consecutive win over the Huskies and moves BGSU's MAC record to 1-2 on the season. Buffalo:
Bulls Notch Road Win At WMU

KALAMAZOO, MI – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team returned to the win column on Friday afternoon as the Bulls defeated Western Michigan, 5-2. The win improves UB to 13-4 on the season and 2-1 in MAC play. In doubles action, the Broncos came away with a win at second doubles, but then Emel Abibulaand Hsin-Yuan Shih won at third doubles, 6-3. Buffalo clinched the point with a win at first doubles from the duo of Chantal Martinez Blanco and Nikoleta Antoniou-Karademitrou, who won 6-4. Full Story...

Women's Tennis Tops NIU, 6-1

HAMILTON, Ohio - The Miami University women's tennis team rolled to a 6-1 win Sunday over the visiting Northern Illinois Huskies at Riverside Athletic Club in Hamilton for the RedHawks' third straight conference win. The win improves Miami to 6-10 overall and 3-1 in the Mid-American Conference. The win puts Miami alone atop the conference standings, ahead of four teams tied at 2-1, with three contests to go in the regular season.  Full Story...

RedHawks Edge Ball State, 4-3

HAMILTON, Ohio - In yet another Mid-American Conference match that came down to the very last point, the Miami women's tennis team pulled through to claim a 4-3 win over the visiting Ball State Cardinals Friday as Brindtha Ramsamy earned the clinching point in the day's final match. Miami improves to 2-1 in the MAC (5-10 overall) while BSU slips to 1-2 in the conference and 12-4 overall. The day's doubles matches looked as if they were destined to go down to the wire, but late Miami runs on all three courts pulled the RedHawks away and claimed the match's opening point for Miami.  Full Story...

Women's Tennis Falls To Miami

HAMILTON, Ohio – The Northern Illinois University women's team battled, but succumbed to Miami, 6-1, defeat at the Riverside Athletic Club Sunday. The Huskies (5-12, 0-4) fought hard, but dropped the doubles point to start the day. The No. 3 doubles team of Paula Veyhle (Stuttgart, Germany) and Christy Robinson (Wellington, New Zealand/Samuel Marsden Collegiate School) posted a 6-1 victory, however NIU was edged, 6-4 at No. 1 doubles and 6-2 at No. 2. Full Story...

Huskies Drop Road Match To Falcons

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Northern Illinois women's team suffered a 6-1 defeat at Bowling Green Friday. Brodie Walker scored the lone singles victory for the Huskies (5-11, 0-3), which suffered the loss in doubles play. Walker earned a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory at No. 3 singles. Maria Potsi and Lara Slisko scored a 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles for NIU. Full Story...

Toledo:
Rockets Stun Zips With 4-3 Victory

TOLEDO, Ohio - The Toledo women's tennis team edged out Akron, 4-3, on Saturday at Twos Athletic Club. The match featured two-set sweeps in singles play by freshman Christina Fuller and senior Claire Aleck. The Rockets started off strong by clinching the doubles point. Senior Thalita Rodrigues and freshman Kiersten Carlson defeated Sophia Geier/Anna Uljanov, 6-2, on the No. 2 court. Fellow senior/freshman duo Aleck and Eileen Carney fought in a tight, back-and-forth battle with  Luisa Echeverry/Carla Flores on the No. 3 court in the deciding match. Broncos Fall To Buffalo, 5-2

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision versus the University at Buffalo Friday afternoon inside West Hills Athletic Club, falling to 10-8 overall and 2-1 during Mid-American Conference play. WMU took the first doubles win at court two, as Melina Lyubomirova and Femke Tjon-A-Joe won their fourth consecutive doubles match. Full Story...
