Ball State:
Men's Tennis Drops Match To Butler

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team (10-11) suffered a 6-1 loss in mid-week non-conference action to Butler (16-6) Wednesday afternoon at the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center.  It was quite the battle in doubles play today, as the Cardinals fell behind early to the Bulldogs, losing on court one first by a score of 6-1. Positions two and three were both down significantly at the start of their respective matches but managed to fight their way back to put themselves back into winning positions.  Full Story...

Cardinals Fall To NIU

MUNCIE, Ind. -- Things were tight across the board, but Northern Illinois took the doubles point and three of the first four singles matches off the court Sunday en route to a 5-2 victory over Ball State in Mid-American Conference men's tennis action. The Huskies avenged a loss by the same score just two weeks ago on the same courts at Muncie's Northwest YMCA, improving to 10-10 (2-3 MAC). Binghamton:
Bearcats Drop Home Match To Buffalo

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Visiting Buffalo (8-8, 3-1 MAC) took a tight doubles point and then closed out Binghamton men's tennis (8-13, 0-6 MAC) 7-0 Monday afternoon indoors at the Binghamton Tennis Center.  The Bulls clinched the doubles point with a tiebreak win at No. 3. The Bearcats then extended three singles matches to a third set but Buffalo prevailed in each.  Full Story...

Men's Tennis Bows To Toledo

VESTAL, N.Y. - Visiting Toledo (10-9, 3-1 MAC) grabbed the doubles point and took four of the six singles matches to defeat Binghamton men's tennis (8-12, 0-5 MAC), 5-2 Saturday afternoon at the Lane Tennis Center. Winning singles matches for the Bearcats were junior No. 2 Tiago Lourenco and sophomore No. 4 Alejandro Pena. With his straight-set win, Pena improved to a team-best 11-7 in dual matches and 2-3 in MAC play. Like Pena, Lourenco had a 6-0 set en route to his victory, which gave him nine dual wins (2-3 MAC).  Full Story...

Buffalo:
Bulls Roll Past Bearcats

BINGHAMTON, NY – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team improved to 3-1 in Mid-American Conference play with a 7-0 victory over Binghamton on Monday afternoon.  All three of UB's league victories have now come by 7-0 margins. The Bulls began in doubles as senior Ethan Nittolo and junior Hao Sheng Koay came away with a 7-5 victory at first doubles.  UB then clinched the point at third doubles as sophomores Matthew Johnson and Valdemar Holm scored a 7-6 (4) win.  UB held the narrow lead at second doubles when play was stopped.  Full Story...

Men's Tennis Drops Match At Yale

NEW HAVEN, CT – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team concluded the weekend at Yale on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Bulldogs, 5-2. In doubles, Yale won matches at one and two, but the Bulls took the victory at three as Valdemar Holm and Matthew Johnson won, 6-4.  Full Story...

Bulls Fall At Columbia

NEW YORK, NY – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team matched up with the 13th ranked team in the nation on Friday afternoon, falling to Columbia, 4-0, at the Dick Savitt Tennis Center. Columbia took the doubles point with wins at two and three, but the Bulls kept it tight at first doubles as Ethan Nittolo and Hao Sheng Koay had their matched tied at 3-3 when play was stopped. Full Story...

Men's Tennis Earns Road Win At Ball State

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Northern Illinois University men's tennis team earned a 5-2 win over Ball State on Sunday afternoon to claim a season split with the Cardinals. NIU won the doubles points and took four of the six singles matches as the Huskies improved to 10-10 on the season.  NIU took the early lead in the match as the Huskies claimed the doubles point. Freshman David Pata(Bucharest, Romania/Emil Racovita) and junior Bor Schweiger Muzar (Crnomelj, Slovenia/Gimnm) were 7-5 winners at number two and seniors Eric Marbach (Naperville, Ill./Waubonsie Valley) and Erich Schuette (Cleveland, Ohio/St. Ignatius) also picked up a 7-5 win to clinch the point.  Full Story...

Huskies Fall To Broncos

DEKALB, Ill. – Playing its final home match of the season on campus at the West Tennis Courts, the Northern Illinois University men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Western Michigan on Friday afternoon. Junior Bor Schweiger Muzar (Crnomelj, Slovenia/Gimnm) picked up the lone point for the Huskies with a victory in his singles match. NIU (9-10) played Western Michigan nearly even for the doubles point. Peter Kuszynski and Jack Randall earned a 6-3 win at number one doubles for the Broncos in the first match to finish. Full Story...

Toledo:
Rockets Top Binghamton, 5-2

Vestal, N.Y.  - The Toledo men's tennis team defeated Binghamton, 5-2, in Vestal, N.Y. on Saturday for a season sweep of the Bearcats. The match featured two-set sweeps in singles play from junior Danilo Vukotic and senior Omar Espinosa. The Rockets made quick work of the Bearcats in doubles, with wins on the No. 1 and No. 3 courts. Senior Vince Anzalone and Vukotic  defeated Kushaan Nath/Tiago Lourenco, 6-2, on the No. 1 court. Senior Juan Carranza and freshman Cole Shoults defeated Inigo Saez/Josh Druger, 6-2, on the No. 3 court. Men's Tennis Split Final Pair Of Non-Conference Matches

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan men's tennis team wrapped up non-conference play Sunday, March 31 inside West Hills Athletic Club, falling 4-2 versus the University of Dayton prior to winning 4-1 against the University of Indianapolis.  The loss to the Flyers snapped the Broncos' five-match winning streak while the win over the Greyhounds improved WMU's record to 14-8 overall on the season.  Full Story...

Broncos Pick Up Road Win At NIU

DEKALB, Ill. - The Western Michigan men's tennis team improved to 5-0 in the Mid-American Conference after a 6-1 win at Northern Illinois University Friday afternoon. The win stands as the second of the season over the Huskies while WMU improves to 13-7 overall. Full Story...
