Akron:
Zips Top Youngstown State, 5-2


STREETSBORO, Ohio – The University of Akron women's tennis team closed out non-conference play with a 5-2 victory at Youngstown State on Tuesday afternoon at the Western Reserve Tennis Center. The Zips (15-3 overall) dropped the doubles point to the Penguins (3-12 overall). UA claimed a win at the No. 1 posiito nas junior captain Rita Pedroso (Porto, Portugal) and sophomore Miruna Vasilescu (Ulm, Germany) defeated Tamara Teufl and Elvira Esteo, 6-2. Full Story...

Ball State:
Cardinals Sweep Wright State


MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State women's tennis team (11-2) continued its hot streak with its fifth win in a row in a 7-0 sweep over Wright State (8-10) Saturday night at the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center. The Cardinals won the doubles point over the Raiders, but it wasn't easy. First off the court was Peyton Gollhofer and doubles partner Isabelle Dohanics. The duo didn't give up a game to Wright State's Anna Marie Reynolds and Madison Riley, winning the match 6-0. On the top court, Audrey Berger and Rebecca Herrington who were the Mid-American Conference Doubles Team of the Week, played a tight match but fell by a score of 6-3. Full Story...

Bowling Green:
Falcons Close Non-Conference Play

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Bowling Green State University tennis program came up short against Clemson University on Tuesday (March 19) losing 7-0. With the win against Principia on Monday (March 18), the Falcons will leave California with a 1-1 record for the trip. On the season, the Orange and Brown now hold a 7-6 record overall with conference play beginning this coming weekend.  Full Story...

Falcons Sweep Principia College

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – The Bowling Green State University tennis program captured another sweep on the season, beating Principia College by a score of 7-0. The sweep marks the Falcons' fourth of the season, and second consecutive. With four under their belt, the team now has the most sweeps since the 2011-12 season. Bowling Green's 7-0 victories have come against Bellarmine University, Indiana Tech, Dayton and now Principia. If the Orange and Brown can notch one more sweep this season it would tie the program record with five sweeps in a single season. This feat has been accomplished five times in program history with the most recent occasion being in the 2008-09 season. The win moves BGSU's record to 7-5 on the season.  Full Story...

Buffalo:
Bulls Top Nationally Ranked Keiser

BOCA RATON, FL – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team won their 11th straight match as they defeated Keiser University, 5-2, on Thursday afternoon.  Keiser entered the match ranked second in the nation in the latest NAIA poll.  The Bulls dropped the early doubles point as all three doubles teams for Keiser were ranked nationally, but won five of the six matches in singles.  Keiser had nationally ranked players at five of the six spots, picking up a win at fourth singles with the 17th ranked player in the nation. Full Story...

Miami:
RedHawks Roll Through Singles To Take Down Wright State

HAMILTON, Ohio - A dropped doubles point didn't seem to faze the Miami tennis team Saturday as the RedHawks blitzed through singles matches to take a 6-1 victory over the visiting Wright State Raiders. MU improves to 3-9 with the win as the 'Hawks now turn their attention towards conference play. The doubles point was claimed by Wright State to kick off the match, as the Raiders earned decisive 6-1 victories on courts one and two. Brindtha Ramasamy and Makenzie Myers were ahead 4-3 on court three at the conclusion of the other two matches. Full Story...

Toledo:
Rockets Defeat Oakland, 4-3

Toledo, Ohio – The University of Toledo women's tennis team defeated Oakland 4-3 at Twos Athletic Club in Toledo on Saturday.  The Rockets have now won five of their six matches at Twos this season. The Rockets dropped the doubles point despite senior Thalita Rodrigues and freshman Kiersten Carlson's hard-fought 7-5 win on the No. 2 court.  Full Story...

Western Michigan:
Women's Tennis Falls To UIC

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan women's tennis squad fell 4-3 versus the University of Illinois at Chicago on Thursday afternoon inside West Hills Athletic Club, concluding its non-conference slate with an 8-7 record.  After Western Michigan went up 1-0 after clinching the doubles point, the visiting Flames answered in singles play as the match came down to a third set on court two, tied 3-3.
