Men's Tennis Closes Weekend With Win Over NIU

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team (9-8, 1-1 MAC) picked up a 5-2 victory over Northern Illinois (8-9, 0-2 MAC) in Mid-American Conference action Sunday afternoon at the Northwest Muncie YMCA. The Cardinals took the early 1-0 edge over the Huskies after winning the doubles point. Cardinals Fall To Broncos, 5-2

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State men's tennis team fell 5-2 to rival Western Michigan Friday afternoon in its Mid-American Conference opener at the Northwest Muncie YMCA Tennis Center. The Cardinals are now 8-8 on the season and 0-1 in league action while the Broncos improved to 9-7 in dual action and 1-0 in MAC play. The doubles point went to the Broncos despite the Cardinals efforts.  Full Story...

Binghamton:
Men's Tennis Falls To Toledo

WILIAMSVILLE, N.Y. - Toledo (8-7, 1-0 MAC) took the doubles point and then won four of the six singles matches to defeat Binghamton men's tennis (8-9, 0-2 MAC) 5-2 Saturday afternoon  at Buffalo's Miller Tennis Center. The Bearcats' No. 2 doubles team of senior Ludovico Cestarollo and sophomore Alejandro Pena provided a 6-2 win and then each player won his singles match to account for the team points. Cestarollo earned a 6-2, 2-6, 11-9 win over Luka Vilosevic at first singles and Pena rolled to a 6-3, 6-1 win over Reid Teatsorth at No. 6.  Full Story...

Bearcats Drop MAC Opener

WILIAMSVILLE, N.Y. - Host Buffalo (6-5) won a tightly-contested doubles point and then rattled off six singles wins to topple Binghamton men's tennis (8-8) 7-0 Friday afternoon at Miller Tennis Center. The Bearcats' No. 2 doubles team of senior Ludovico Cestarollo and sophomore Alejandro Pena were on the verge of a win when the Bulls clinched the doubles point.  Full Story...

Men's Tennis Sweeps Toledo

WILLIAMSVILLE, NY – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team capped off a strong opening weekend of Mid-American Conference play with a 7-0 win over Toledo on Sunday afternoon at the Miller Tennis Center. The Bulls improved to 2-0 in MAC play with two shutout victories. Buffalo cruised to the doubles points. Nickolas Frisk and Vilhelm Fridell downed Juan Carranza and Cole Shoults, 6-1, at third doubles. Ethan Nittolo and Hao Sheng Koay beat Luka Vitisovic and Omar Espinosa, 6-3, at first singles.  Full Story...

Bulls Sweep Binghamton In MAC Opener

AMHERST, NY – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team cruised to a 7-0 victory over Binghamton in its Mid-American Conference opener on Friday at the Miller Tennis Center. The Bulls won five of the six singles matches in straights sets. At first singles, Ethan Nittolo made quick work of Kusheen Nath, 6-0, 6-1. Hao Sheng Koay also won rather easily in straight sets, 6-0, 6-2. Nickolas Frisk won 6-2, 6-0 in third singles. Rounding out singles wins were Matthew Johnson (6-2, 6-2), Simon Wibler (6-4, 6-3) and Vilhelm Fridell (6-2, 3-6, 10-3). Full Story...

Men's Tennis Drops Decision To Ball State

MUNCIE, Ind. -- The Northern Illinois University men's tennis team concluded its first weekend of league play with a 5-2 setback against Ball State on Sunday afternoon. With the defeat, the Huskies fall to 8-9 overall, 0-2 in Mid-American Conference play. Ball State (9-8, 1-1 MAC) took the doubles point with wins by Marko and Nemanja Guzina at number one as well as Chris Adams and Conner Andersen at number three.  Full Story...

Huskies Swept By Broncos

MUNCIE, Ind. – Four singles matches went to three sets, but Western Michigan won all four as the Broncos defeated the Northern Illinois University men's tennis team, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon in NIU's Mid-American Conference opener. In doubles, Western Michigan won the first match to finish before at number two before freshman Mikko Malinen and sophomore Victor Spolidorio earned a win at number two, 6-2, over Jannik Opitz and Kennosuke Nouchi. Men's Tennis Falls To Buffalo

Williamsville, N.Y. – The University of Toledo men's tennis team fell to Buffalo 7-0 in their second Mid-American Conference match of the season in Williamsville, N.Y. on Sunday. The Rockets dropped the doubles point early with losses on the No. 1 and 3 courts, leaving senior Vince Anzalone and junior Danilo Vukotic's battle on the No. 2 court abandoned, tied at 5-5. Full Story...

Williamsville, N.Y. – The University of Toledo men's tennis team opened Mid-American Conference play with a 5-2 victory over Binghamton at Miller Tennis Center in Williamsville, N.Y. on Saturday. The Rockets had a strong start, clinching the doubles point with wins on the No. 1 and No. 3 courts. MUNCIE, Ind. - The Western Michigan men's tennis team improved to 2-0 during Mid-American Conference competition following a 7-0 victory over Northern Illinois University on Saturday afternoon. WMU clinched the doubles point with wins on courts two and three for the second consecutive match, duplicating yesterday's doubles results at Ball State.
