Ball State:
Cardinals Fall At Notre Dame
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Ball State men's tennis team (1-3) competed at No. 11 Notre Dame (8-1) Friday night at the Eck Tennis Pavilion. The Cardinals fell to the nationally ranked Fighting Irish by a score of 7-0. Ball State plays one of the toughest non-conference spring schedules in the Mid-American Conference, having already faced two Big Ten teams earlier this season, Indiana and Michigan State.

Binghamton:
Bearcats Test Clemson In 4-1 Setback
WEST POINT, N.Y. - Binghamton men's tennis (4-3) battled ACC member Clemson (5-2) up and down the lineup before the Tigers posted a 4-1 win Sunday morning at Army's Lichtenberg Tennis Center. Clemson took a tight doubles point and then pulled away from a 2-1 lead with singles wins at Nos. 4 and 5 to clinch the victory. One night after defeating the 44th-ranked doubles pair in the nation, juniors Kushaan Nath and Tiago Lourenco earned another eye-opening win, 6-4 over Clemson's top tandem. Nath then rolled to a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles to improve to 5-1 this spring.

Men's Tennis Tops Army, 5-2
WEST POINT, N.Y. - Binghamton men's tennis (4-2) steamrolled to five singles wins and rallied past host Army West Point (1-4), 5-2, Saturday afternoon at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center. Juniors Kushaan Nath and Tiago Lourenco notched a momentum-building tiebreak win over their 44th-ranked opponents at the top doubles spot and then each scored a singles win to propel the Bearcats to the team victory. Nath won a straight-set match at No. 2 singles to raise his dual record to 4-1 this spring.

Men's Tennis Drops Weekend Finale At North Florida
JACKSONVILLE, FL – The University at Buffalo men's tennis team closed out the weekend on Sunday with a 5-2 loss at North Florida. UB is now 2-2 on the season. The Ospreys, who are the reigning Atlantic Sun champions, opened with a victory in doubles, picking up wins at one and three to take an early 1-0 lead.

Bulls Take Down Mercer
JACKSONVILLE, FL – For the third time in as many matches, the University at Buffalo men's tennis team was locked in a 4-3 match up, this time prevailing over Mercer Saturday afternoon on the campus of North Florida. The Bulls improve to 2-1 on the year. Buffalo took the doubles point with victories at second and third doubles. Sophomore Matthew Johnson and senior Ethan Nittolo won easily at second doubles, 6-1, and then Buffalo clinched the point at third double as sophomore Nickolas Frisk and junior Hao Sheng Koay came away with a 7-6 (4) win in the tiebreaker.

Men's Tennis Completes Perfect Weekend
AURORA, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University men's tennis team earned its third consecutive 7-0 sweep as the Huskies brushed aside St. Francis (Ill.) on Sunday afternoon at Vaughn Tennis Center. The Huskies won all three of their matches this weekend without dropping a point as they improved to 7-4 on the season. NIU shuffled its doubles lineup on Sunday and took two of the three matches to pick up the first point of the match. Freshman Mikko Malinen and sophomore Victor Spolidorio teamed at number one to top Ian Millan Vetokhin and Avilash Mishra, 7-5, while freshman David Pata and senior Erich Schuette claimed a 6-2 win at number three against Thomas Schieffer and Fernando Turiel.

Huskies Blank Wright State and Eastern Illinois
DEKALB, Ill. – The Northern Illinois University men's tennis team earned its fourth and fifth consecutive wins as the Huskies swept both Wright State and Eastern Illinois, 7-0, on Saturday at Chick Evans Field House. With the pair of wins, NIU improves to 6-4 on the season. NIU won all three doubles matches to pick up the first point of the match against Wright State. In the singles, the Huskies won five of the six matches in straight sets. Sophomore Kristopher Ortega (Homer Glen, Ill./Seton Home Study School) and sophomore Victor Spolidorio (Peoria, Ill./Dunlap) each surrendered just one game in their victories. Ortega was a 6-1, 6-0 victor over Fernando Nardelli while Spolidorio won, 6-0, 6-1, over Leighton Brandon.

Broncos Fall To Harvard In Chicago
CHICAGO, Ill. - The Western Michigan men's tennis team hosted a neutral site matchup with Harvard University on Sunday, Feb. 10, falling by a score of 5-2 to drop its overall record to 4-5 in 2019. The Brown & Gold started out with the first doubles win with Schnobel and Kuszynski winning 6-2 at the No. 3 spot. However, the Crimson answered with wins at courts one and two to secure the doubles point.

Men's Tennis Sweeps Ferris State
KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan men's tennis team remained undefeated at home with a pair of 7-0 victories over Ferris State University on Friday, Feb. 8 inside West Hills Athletic Club to improve its overall record to 4-4. The first win of the afternoon snapped a four-match losing skid for the Broncos. WMU opened 2019 with two 7-0 wins over the University of Illinois at Chicago Jan. 13, and followed suit during the second home stand versus Ferris State.
