Kent State's Julian Edelman Named Super Bowl MVP
ATLANTA, Ga. -- Congratulations to former Kent State quarterback Julian Edelman on his Super Bowl MVP honor as part of the winning New England Patriots in a 13-3 win over the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Edelman finished with a game high 10 receptions for 141 yards as the favorite target for Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
Edelman, a nine-year NFL veteran with the Patriots, won his third Super Bowl as a member of the New England Patriots and became the first former MAC student athlete to be named NFL Super Bowl MVP. He also became only the seventh wide receiver in NFL history to be named Super Bowl MVP.
