Women's Tennis Drops 4-3 Decision At West Virginia
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The University of Akron women's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision at West Virginia (4-1 overall, 0-1 Big 12) on Saturday afternoon at Summit Tennis Academy. The Mountaineers took the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots. At No. 1, junior captain Rita Pedroso(Porto, Portugal) and sophomore Miruna Vasilescu (Ulm, Germany) defeated Paula Goetz and Nicole Roc, 6-4.

Zips Pick Up 5-2 Win At Duquesne
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The University of Akron women's tennis team claimed its eighth win on the season with a 5-2 victory over Duquesne (4-3 overall, 0-0 A-10) on Friday afternoon at Alpha Tennis and Fitness of Pittsburgh. Akron took the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots. At No. 1, junior captain Rita Pedroso (Porto, Portugal) and sophomore Miruna Vasilescu (Ulm, Germany) defeated Julianne Herman and Laurel Shymansky, 6-2.

Ball State:
Cardinals Continue Winning Ways
PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Ball State women's tennis team continued its winning ways in Pittsburgh, Pa. Saturday night with a 5-2 victory over Duquesne. With the win, the Cardinals improved to 6-1 overall while the Dukes dropped to 4-4 on the season. Ball State took control of the match early on with a dominating performance in doubles play. Peyton Gollhofer paired up with partner Isabelle Dohanics for the clinch in doubles action over Priyanka Mitta and Meredith Lee. The twosome won the match 6-1 to give Ball State its first point.

Women's Tennis Tops St. Francis
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Ball State women's tennis team opened its two-match road swing in Pittsburgh Friday night with a 6-1 win against Saint Francis. The Cardinals have now extended their win streak to four, improving their overall record to 5-1 on the season while Saint Francis dropped to 1-9.

Falcons Fall At Pitt, 5-2
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Bowling Green State University tennis program fell to the University of Pittsburgh on Saturday (Feb. 16) by a score of 5-2. The loss moves the Falcons record to 4-4 on the season, while the Panthers are also now 4-4. Throughout the match, the Falcons put up a strong fight, but came up short in the end.

Buffalo:
Women's Tennis Secures Win Over Quinnipiac
WILLIAMSVILLE, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team picked up its sixth victory of the season on Sunday as the Bulls defeated Quinnipiac 6-1 at the Miller Tennis Center. UB won all three matches in doubles and won five of the six matches in singles. Buffalo's first win at doubles came at second doubles as senior Arianna Paules Aldrey and freshman Pia Schwarz won 6-1. The Bulls then clinched the doubles point at third doubles as junior Emel Abibula and freshman Hsin-Yuan Shih won 6-2. Buffalo swept doubles with a 7-5 win at one from senior Chantal Martinez Blanco and freshman Nikoleta Antoniou-Karademitrou.

Bulls Roll Past Mercyhurst

Miami:
Women's Tennis Drops Decision To Xavier
CINCINNATI - In its second of two matches in the Queen City this weekend, the Miami University tennis team couldn't get things rolling as the RedHawks dropped their Sunday evening match to the Xavier Musketeers, 6-1. The RedHawks now slip to 1-6 on the spring season; the Musketeers are 5-2. Despite once again coming close, the 'Hawks were not able to get the opening point in doubles. After Xavier earned a win at second doubles, Miami's Brindtha Ramasamy and Makenzie Myers evened things up with their own win on the third court, 6-3. XU then claimed the doubles point, as the team of Kyle/Thomas took the deciding victory at first singles to clinch.

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The RedHawks battled to the end, but the Miami University women's tennis team was unable to find the crucial points it need as the 'Hawks fell to the rival Cincinnati Bearcats 5-2 Saturday night inside The Club at Harper's Point. The 'Hawks fall to 1-5 on the non-conference season with the loss, while UC now sits at 5-2.

Huskies Fall To Chicago State
CHICAGO – The Northern Illinois University women's team suffered a 6-1 setback at Chicago State Saturday. The Huskies (2-5), which lost the doubles point to open the day, were unable to win the majority of the singles matches to take the day. Maria Potsi (Athens, Greece/1st Gel Cholargou) provided the lone bright spot on the day, posting a 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 victory over Anastasiia Goncharova at No. 1 singles.

Rockets Clinch 4-3 Road Win
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- The University of Toledo women's tennis team defeated Youngstown State in a tight 4-3 victory on Friday in Youngstown, Ohio. The Rockets dropped the doubles point early, despite junior/freshman duo Dee Dee Leenabanchong/KierstenCarlson's 6-4 win on the No. 1 doubles court. The Rockets bounced back in singles play, where Christina Fuller was up 6-4, 3-1 in her match at the No. 4 spot before her opponent defaulted. Carlson bagged a win at the No. 5 spot over Elvira Esteo (6-4, 6-2). Leenabanchong and seniors Kokoro Chishaki and Claire Aleck finished their matches in three sets.

Broncos Take Down Wright State
KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan women's tennis team defeated Wright State University 5-2 Sunday morning at West Hills Athletic Club. With the win, the Broncos improve to 6-1 on their home court. WMU dropped the doubles point as the Raiders picked up wins on courts one and two. The Brown & Gold responded in singles play taking all six singles matches from Wright state to pull away with the victory.

Women's Tennis Sweeps Green Bay
KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan women's tennis team got back on track Friday afternoon inside West Hills Athletic Club, defeating Green Bay by a score of, 7-0. The Broncos, who break a three match losing streak, improve to 5-4 on the season. The Broncos picked up the doubles point as Katja Fevralev and Kristina Tiraspolsky took care of business at the No. 1 position, 6-2. Melina Lyubomirova and Femke Tjon-A-Joe trailed 4-1 heading into the breaker but fought back for a hard earned win at the two spot, 6-4. The pair of Lyubomirova/Tjon-A-Joe move to 6-1 on the season at the two position.
