MAC East Division: Wrestler of the Week
Luke Werner, Lock Haven—Junior, Bethlehem, Pa. (Liberty High School)
 
Lock Haven junior Luke Werner at 125 lbs., turned in another impressive outing this past weekend, going 5-0 on the way to the title at Lock Haven’s annual Mat-Town Open. Werner recorded two majors, a tech fall and two pins as all five wins came in dominating style with bonus points attached. The 5-0 day helped Werner improve to 15-2 on the season. Werner was projected to redshirt the season, but with a MAC East-West Crossover looming Friday, he’s listed in the probable lineup.
 
MAC West Division: Wrestlers of the Week
Zac Carson, Ohio—Senior, Akron, Ohio (Uniontown Lake High School)
 
Ohio senior Zac Carson at 157 lbs., delivered a 20-5 triumph by technical fall in 6:01 at 157 pounds over Chattanooga sophomore Tyler Shilson on Sunday, Dec. 1. The Bobcats were edged by the Mocs, 19-15.
